Fire Prevention/Risk Reduction (FP/RR):Fire Prevention and Fire And Life Safety Education sections form the core of Santa Fe County Fire Department’s Fire Prevention/Risk Reduction Division. The goal of FP/RR is to identify, assess, plan, prevent, and help mitigate risks that have a negative impact to life, property, and natural resources within our community. FP/RR operates on establishing community partnerships, disseminating fire and life safety education, applying and educating aspects of fire code enforcement, reviewing plans for new and existing development and fire protection systems, as well as inspecting commercial buildings for fire code compliance. FP/RR Division identifies vulnerable areas of the community through risk assessment plans and implements risk reduction measures through Community Risk Reduction Outreach Programs (CRROP).
