Santa Fe County Clerk’s Office certifies four out of four Santa Fe City Council candidates to move forward with public financing
The Santa Fe County Clerk's Office has certified the qualification of four Santa Fe City Council candidates for the upcoming Regular Local Election in accordance with the city charter’s provisions for public financing. Alma Castro (District 1), Brian Patrick Gutierrez (District 1), Michael Garcia (District 2), and Louis Carlos (District 3) have successfully met the necessary requirements. The candidates must now meet the remainder of the public financing requirements set by the Santa Fe City Clerk in order to receive public financing.

After several years of efforts to digitize nearly half a million public records, the Clerk's Office has launched is online public records access portal through ClerkTrackWEB. Santa Fe County constituents can now access request public documents online, receiving them within a few minutes of the request.

SB180 Passes the House, Will Add ‘Much-Needed’ Updates to Election Code
The bill recently passed the House floor with a vote of 44-25 and is now heading to the Governor’s desk, where County Clerk Katharine Clark is confident she will sign it into law. It will go into effect beginning January 2024. She is thankful for the strong support for this bill from all Santa Fe County area representatives.
