Video Visitation Off-Site
This service is provided by a 3rd party vendor TechFriends. They provide a video Visitation system allows inmates to converse with friends and family through video. This allows anyone with internet access to schedule a time to video visit someone being held at SFCADF. With this system in place, the inmates can converse with their children, friends, and family living anywhere in the United States. For more information visit their website at JailATM.com.
Video Visitation On-Site
The on-site, non-contact visitation is conducted at the SFCADF free of charge. Each Inmate will be able to get two visits per week. All visitor are subject to screening before entering the facility. If a visitor has been incarcerated at SFCADF within the last year then they wouldn’t be able to visit.
Special Management Unit (Disciplinary/PHD Status)
For on and off site visits inmates are able to get 1 visit per week.
Santa Fe County Detention Facility reserves the right to deny or cancel any visiting if dignity, respectfulness, and other general compliance to established rules and regulations aren’t followed. In addition, due to the fact that this is a multi-custody facility, there may be unforeseen incident that result in Emergency lockdown, during which time visits may also be cancelled or not available.
On-Site Visit
- Identification card or drivers license (given to the front desk officer)
- Keys to your automobile (given to the front desk officer)
- One diaper, one blanket no larger then 4ft. by 4ft.
- 1 container of baby wipers
- 1 small tube of diaper rash mediation
- 1 clear baby bottle
- 1 baby carrier per infant, no strollers or carriers on wheels allowed
- All Visitor will follow the SFCADF dress code for visitation.
VISITATION CONDUCT (On-Site Visitation)
- Abusive language towards staff.
- Conduct by visitor(s) and inmates.
- Adults must have proper control of their children while on facility property.
- Any kind of sexual conduct in nature during the visit
- Under the influence of drugs or alcohol (may be detained and or arrested by the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office)
- Possession of drugs or alcohol (may be detained and or arrested by the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office)
- Visitors are not allowed to remain in their cars, loitering, or smoking in the parking lot of the facility.
- Any infraction made from the above list will result in termination of visit, asked to leave the facility grounds, and possible suspension from visiting.
VISTIATION CONDUCT (Off-Site Visitation)
- The visitor(s) is using or displaying drugs or drug paraphernalia during visit.
- Any sexual misconduct or nudity
- Any other conduct deemed inappropriate by the SFCADF Administration or Supervisors.
Any infraction made from the above list will result in termination of visit and possible suspension from visiting.
1st infraction
Suspension of visits for visitor for 30 calendar days.
2nd infraction
Suspension of visits for visitor for 6 months.
3rd infraction
Visitor will be banned from visiting indefinitely.

Visitation Conduct
- Abusive language of staff is prohibited. Visit may be terminated for failure to follow directive.
- Conduct by visitors and inmates shall be quiet, orderly, and respectful of others; unruly behavior is prohibited.
- Visitors may only visit one inmate per visit.
- Adults must have proper control of their minor children while on facility property or will be asked to leave.
- VISITORS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO REMAIN IN THEIR CARS, LOITERING OR SMOKING IN THE PARKING LOT OF THE FACILITY.
Upon Entering You May Have on Your Person the Following

- Identification card or drivers license

- One diaper for each hour of visitation; one blanket no larger than 4ft. by 4ft.; 1 container of baby wipes, one small tube of diaper rash medication; one clear baby bottle.
- One baby carrier per infant, no strollers or carriers on wheels allowed.
