The County is holding a community meeting to gauge the community’s input on the potential lease of the former Chimayo Head Start Building located at 205 Juan Medina Rd to USPS for use as a post office.This is an opportunity for residents to explore the building, learn about its history, and discuss its potential future use in an area with few public facilities. The County aims to work collaboratively with the community to identify the best solution for postal services.
Following the meeting, community recommendations will be presented to the Board of County Commissioners for consideration. The Board will then decide whether to authorize the County Manager to begin negotiations with the USPS.
