Location: Santa Fe City Council Chambers

What are we doing in Santa Fe to increase food security for our community? Plenty! Over the last few years, the Santa Fe Food Policy Council (SFFPC), an advisory body to both the City and County of Santa Fe, has been developing a Food Plan.

The SFFPC has gathered input from city and county officials, from stakeholders, and from the public, in order to create a comprehensive plan for a resilient regional food system.

On Food Day, October 24, 2014, we will formally release the 2014 edition of the Food Plan: Planning for Santa Fe’s Food Future: Querencia, a Story of Food, Farming, and Friends.

Our 2014 recommendations reflect additional input and confirmation from 2013 Community Outreach meetings with stakeholders and the public.

Please join us for a press conference during which we will:

Introduce the Food Plan and priority areas: Getting Food, Growing Food, Learning About Food.

Highlight the priorities community members have identified in each of these three areas.

Showcase Food Plan initiatives and policies that are happening right now in the community.

Where: Santa Fe City Council Chambers

When: Friday, October 24, 2014

Time: 10 AM to 11 AM

We look forward to seeing you at the press conference.

Most Sincerely,
The Santa Fe Food Policy Council
