Thornton Ranch Open Space Summer Tours

There will be four tours offered to the southern portion of the open space property; including the historic ruins associated with the former Kennedy Station on the New Mexico Central Railroad and a nearby archaeological site. Total hiking distance is approximately two miles over moderate to somewhat challenging terrain. This tour offers interesting railroad and ranching history, spectacular views of the Galisteo Basin, and an opportunity to hike in a remote part of the open space property.

Each tour will be limited to 16 participants. Participants must sign up individually.
