Join us on Wednesday, August 26, 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m at the Barn at Frenchy’s Field Park
(Agua Fria and Osage St.) for Solarize Santa Fe Solar Summer Orientation.
Solarize Santa Fe! is a community outreach campaign letting homeowners and businesses know just how cost-effective solar has become and how everyone can now easily switch to low cost solar powered energy.
You may be feeling like it’s time to take action protect our planet and curb climate disruption but you’re just not sure how.
With the tax credits, it’s actually possible to use a solar system for no additional cost than what you’re currently paying PNM. Since solar has come down in price by over 60% in the last 5 years, solar is now cost-effective for all of us!
Our Solar Summer Orientation will be a hands-on training with speakers from the State of New Mexico, Santa Fe County, the City of Santa Fe, Santa Fe Public Schools, the Sierra Club, and other groups working to put more solar in Santa Fe.
It will provide you with all you need to know to:
1. Have solar Installed on your home or even your condo (bring a PNM bill to get an estimate).
2. Get the word out to your friends and neighbors, and educate the public about going solar by staffing public information tables at community events, giving presentations, writing in public forums, and giving tips to people about how they can go solar!
Valuable federal and state income tax credits for installing a solar system are only available for another 18 months. They reduce the cost of a system by 40%!
