Bennie J. Chavez Senior/Community Center Closure Update
Santa Fe, NM – February 26, 2013 - As previously released, the Bennie J. Chavez Senior/ Community Center will be closed, due to a water leak. The Center is expected to reopen in mid to late April. Signs are posted at the site and seniors have been notified by phone about the closure.
Starting this week, daily transportation will be provided at 10:45 a.m. from the Bennie J. Chavez Center to the Abedon Lopez Center (Santa Cruz) for seniors to have lunch and if desired, participate in daily activities. Arrangements have been made to accommodate larger classes. A schedule of activities for the Abedon Lopez Center has been posted on the door of the Bennie J. Chavez Center, so seniors can decided what activities they would like to participate in.

Home delivered meals are continuing without any interruption in their delivery service.
