Board Approved Solid Waste Ordinance Amendment
Permit Passes now valid until all punches used
The Santa Fe Board of County Commissioners (BCC) approved Solid Waste Ordinance 2014-6 at the May 27, 2014 BCC meeting. The Ordinance amends Ordinance 2010-5 to extend the time during which solid waste permits will remain valid and to ensure that residential solid waste permits shall not expire until fully utilized.
Under Ordinance 2014-6 all residential solid waste 24 punch passes will not expire, until all punches are utilized. This applies to all current residential permit passes as well as future permits purchased.
Santa Fe Count would also like to remind residents Santa Fe County is offering a green waste amnesty as part of a Firewise initiative. The amnesty is valid until June 30, 2014 at the Jacona, Stanley and Eldorado Transfer Stations. This offer is available to all Santa Fe County residential solid waste permit holders (you will need to show your pass, but it will not be punched if your load is only green waste).
