Santa Fe County DWI Program Offers $5 Cab Ride Home May 5th
The Santa Fe County DWI Program will offer the $5 subsidized Cab Ride Home program on Thursday, May 5, 2016. Partygoers, celebrators and anyone enjoying a drink out on the town can take the cab home for $5. Just call 438-0000 between 5:30 p.m. and 2:30 a.m.
“The $5 Cab Ride Home is a mighty cheap way to beat a $5,000 DWI. Take advantage of cinco on cinco, don’t drive if you have been drinking, even a little, Think SaFe and take a Cab Ride Home,” said Lupe Sanchez, DWI Program Coordinator.
The Cab Ride Home program typically runs from 5:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Friday and Saturday nights. The normal rate for the subsidized ride home is $5 per cab for 1-2 riders and $10 per cab for 3 or more. The DWI Program offsets the first $25 of these cab rides home. Patrons are responsible for any portion of the fare over $25.
