Commissioner Virginia Vigil will be hosting a Town Hall Meeting to discuss the proposed City/County Annexation, specifically the establishing of a Rural Residential Zoning District (Download Ordinance No. 2009-18); approved and adopted May 13, by the City of Santa Fe. The meeting will be held on Monday, July 27 at 6pm at the Nancy Rodriguez Community Center, located at # 1 Prairie Dog Loop across from the Agua Fria Fire Station.

Commissioner Vigil requested rural residential protection be considered during the City-Initiated Annexation General Plan amendment process. The annexation districts were jointly agreed by the City of Santa Fe and Santa Fe County, will occur in three phases beginning in 2009, and completed in 2013.

This Town Hall meeting will specifically address residents in areas 1 and 12, which are the areas most affected by the Rural Residential Zoning District Ordinance and scheduled for annexation in phase 3 of the plan.
