County Assessor and Department of Veterans Services will be in Edgewood 4/17 and 4/18
The Office of the County Assessor is currently conducting outreach meetings throughout various communities around the county. Notices of Value were mailed out on April 1, 2017. The outreach meetings provide residents the opportunity to meet with staff to discuss valuation related issues, as well as file for exemptions, benefits, and valuation protests in areas closer to their home.
“On Monday, April 17 during our outreach at the Edgewood Senior Center, I am excited to announce that a representative from the Department of Veterans Services will be present to assist Veterans with obtaining their Certificates of Eligibility. Veterans seeking to apply for a Veteran’s Exemption should bring their honorable discharge documents, known as the DD-214 for armed services, and the NGB-22 for National Guard members,” said Assessor Gus Martinez. More information about the Veteran’s Exemption is on the back of the official Notice of Value or on the Assessor’s website at: https://www.santafecountynm.gov/userfiles/assessor/KMVeterans_Exemptions.pdf
Assessor’s staff will be at the Edgewood Senior Center between 4:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Monday, April 17 and Tuesday, April 18, 2017.
The County Assessor urges property owners to follow them on social media for updates about their office, and for important informational videos.
