County Assessor Gus Martinez Encourages Property Owners to Download Their Notice of Value From the County Assessor’s Website
The Office of the County Assessor mailed out official property tax Notice of Values on April 1, 2015, for the current tax year. Each year the office receives many of these notices back from the US Postal Service as returned mail. Reasons for the returns include undeliverable or insufficient addressing or forwarding address unavailable.
In order to ensure quality customer service and receipt of Notice of Values, County Assessor Gus Martinez encourages property owners to download their Notice of Value from the Office of the County Assessor’s website at www.santafecountynm.gov/assessor. By accessing the “Online Tools” and “Document Manager” on the website, Notice of Values can be searched and downloaded using a property’s Location ID. Property owners may also find a property’s Location ID online using the Assessment Information Center tool on the website and the street address of the property.
To ensure next year’s Notice of Value is delivered in the mail, property owners should verify the mailing address on their online Notice of Value. If a change is needed, please complete a Change of Address form (available online and at the Office of the County Assessor) and mail or fax it to the Office of the County Assessor (contact information below). Property owners may also contact the office to verify that an accurate, deliverable address is associated with their properties. Contacting the office also presents an opportunity to ensure property owners are receiving all exemptions for which they qualify.
The Assessor’s office is located in the County Administrative Building at 102 Grant Avenue, Santa Fe. The office main line phone number is 505-986-6300 and the FAX number is 505-986-6316. The Assessor’s mailing address is PO Box 126, Santa Fe County, NM 87504.
