County Implements Project “Sticker Shock”

Santa Fe – May 23, 2007 – On Friday, May 25, 2007, at 1:00 pm at KoKo Man Liquors, Pojoaque Supermarket, Kicks 66, Phillips 66, and Al’s Liquor in Pojoaque, high school students will be placing stop sign stickers that display a warning message about the penalties for providing alcohol to anyone under 21 on beer cases, wine coolers and other alcohol products that might appeal to young drinkers. The students, part of Pojoaque Valley High School’s Natural Helpers, are joining other youth throughout the state are taking a proactive stand against underage drinking and its related problems.

The Pojoaque Tribal Police and the Santa Fe County Sheriffs Department will be on hand to escort the students who will be applying the stickers.
