County Manager, Begins Move Toward Change

Santa Fe – May 28, 2010– Santa Fe County Manager stated today he will begin taking necessary steps for change.

“I have started making essential decisions to move Santa Fe County forward,” said Roman Abeyta, Santa Fe County Manager, “it is time for change and time for action to be taken.” “I have made the decision to release James Lujan, Public Works Department Director. I want to stress, there still is an ongoing investigation and his release is a separate action apart from this investigation.”

As part of the internal changes, Abeyta stated he will temporarily act as the County Manager and Public Works Department Director.
