Santa Fe County has hired Marvin Martinez as the new Director of Water and Wastewater Operations. Mr. Martinez comes to the County with over twenty-three years of experience in Water and Wastewater Operations. He was most recently the Water Services Director for the City of Espanola.

One of Mr. Martinez’s top priorities will be to present to the Board of County Commissioners a plan for moving the County’s Supplemental Well Program forward. His other duties include managing the County’s water rights, upgrading current facilities, conducting a comprehensive water rate study, actively participating in the County’s involvement in the Buckman Direct Diversion project, and overseeing water and wastewater planning and management issues being included in the Sustainable Land Development Plan.
