County Road Improvements May Cause Traffic Disruption

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

COUNTY ROAD IMPROVEMENTS MAY CAUSE TRAFFIC DISRUPTION

Santa Fe– October 10, 2007 – Traffic disruption is expected due to the construction of a roundabout in Oshara Village at the intersection of Willow Back and Richards Ave., one quarter mile north of the Santa Fe Community College. The Santa Fe County Public Works Department expects traffic delays and encourages motorists to find alternative routes.

The roundabout is designed by internationally known traffic designer, Michael Wallwork, PE of Alternate Street Design.  It was chosen because of its reputation as the safest, most efficient and attractive form of traffic control in the world.

The project is expected to be completed in mid December, 2007, weather permitting.  For more information please contact, Anna Hansen, Director of Community Building, Oshara Village @505-946-2167.
