County to Host Virtual Interested Stakeholder Meeting on Hazard Mitigation Analysis and Emergency Response Planning for Battery Energy Storage System Projects
Santa Fe, NM – Santa Fe County Fire Department alongside the Growth Management Department will hold a virtual interested stakeholder meeting on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. to discuss hazard mitigation analysis and emergency response planning relative to the installation of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Projects.
This meeting is organized in response to concerns from interested stakeholders regarding the proposed AES (Applied Energy Services) Rancho Viejo Solar project application. Santa Fe County staff and third-party hazard mitigation subject matter experts will listen to concerns and discuss important information on hazard mitigation analysis, emergency response planning, and fire and life safety measures relative to BESS projects.
To ensure that topics of concern are adequately addressed, interested stakeholders are encouraged to submit their questions by November 1, 2024, at 5:00pm using this link: Pre-Meeting Questions.
