The Santa Fe County Building and Development Services Division, Growth Management Department recently implemented a new program to improve customer service to County residents in unincorporated areas who are building or making additions to their property and assist Code Enforcement Officers in monitoring illegal construction activities. The program is an inspection process for new construction within the unincorporated areas of Santa Fe County. This improved process includes the requirement that certain construction activities undergo a pre-final and/or final inspection.

A new email address has been set up to report potential code violations and request further investigation by County Code Enforcement Officers: inspections@co.santa-fe.nm.us. Please indicate in the email reference line “Inspection Request” or “Code Violation” and in the body of the email the physical address and type of inspection being requested. Code violation reports should also include a brief description of the violation suspected.
