EARLY VOTING INFORMATION

Geraldine Salazar, SF County Clerk, wants to remind voters that the New Mexico General Election will be Tuesday, November 8, 2016. On Election Day, all polling places will be open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. There are several dates before the election that voters should keep in mind.


Early Voting
Early Voting at the Clerk’s Office: You can vote early at the Clerk’s Office beginning Tuesday, October 11 through November 4, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, including lunch hours. Voting will also occur on Saturday, November 5th, ONLY from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.


Early Voting at Alternate Sites
Early voting at these sites begins Saturday, October 22 and ends Saturday, November 5. Days and hours for these sites are as follows: Tuesday through Friday, from 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and Saturdays, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. These sites are closed on Sundays and Mondays.

Alternate Early Voting Locations

  • NEW Christian Life Church (new facility)
  • Eldorado Senior Center (new facility)
  • NEW Edgewood Fire Station
  • Pojoaque County Satellite Office
  • Santa Fe County Fairgrounds


Absentee Ballots: You can apply for an absentee ballot now or any time up until Friday, November 4, 2016 although we encourage voters not to wait until the last minute. By law, however, we cannot send out Absentee Ballots until Tuesday, October 11, 2016; the last day we can send out Absentee Ballots is Friday, November 4th. To apply for an Absentee Ballot, you can go online (http://www.santafecountynm.gov/media/files/ABGeraldine.pdf) to print an application, or call the County Clerk’s Office (505-986-6280) to request an application.
