Edgewood Equestrian Facility Ribbon Cutting and Extravaganza

Santa Fe County Open Space and Trails Program and the Town of Edgewood

will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, August 2 at 2:00 p.m. Santa Fe County constructed an

equestrian arena and riding and hiking trails for the enjoyment of the citizens of southern Santa Fe

County.

The Edgewood Open Space is a 30 acre tract located in the Town of Edgewood and was purchased by

the County for Open Space in September, 2000. The project consists of an equestrian facility, trails, and

a picnic area which will be jointly operated by the Town of Edgewood.

On Saturday, August 3 there will be an Equestrian Extravaganza from 10:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m.

Several horse clubs will be present to provide equestrian demonstrations, side saddle riding and coon jumping.

Scheduled events:

10:00 a.m. - Rio Grande Mule and Donkey Association- Side Saddle

10:30 a.m. -Rio Grande Mule and Donkey Association-Driving Demo

11:00 a.m. - High Desert Riders

12:00 p.m. - Vaulters Del Sol

12:30 p.m. – Back County Horseman Packing Demo

1:00 p.m. - Rio Grande Mule and Donkey Association- Mini Donkeys

1:30 p.m. -Rio Grande Mule and Donkey Association - Coon Jumping
