February 23 BCC Summary

Santa Fe – February 24, 2010– Below is a summary of the actions taken by the Santa Fe Board of County Commissioners:

Community Funds: By unanimous [5-0] voice vote the Commission approved the following expenditures:

· $1,000 - Santa Fe Business Incubator

· $800 - Arts, Culture & Entertain (ACE) Task Force for the La Cienega/La Cieneguilla Community Calendar

Budget Item: By unanimous [5-0] voice vote the Commission approved the following:
· A budget decrease to various County funds – travel, gas & oil, supplies and contractual service – there will be no decrease in public services.

Community Services Department: By unanimous [5-0] voice vote the Commission approved:

· A resolution adopting the Housing Assistance Regulations that define homeowner down-payment assistance and developer subsidies.

· The Maternal & Child Heath Planning Council 2010-2014 Profile and Plan – Council Chair Kim Straus outlined the process implemented to assess critical issues regarding maternal and child health in the County. Identified priorities include greater connectivity of families to services and improvement to the availability and access to quality and affordable infant care.
