Federal Economic Stimulus Funds Arrive; County Receives $264,000 to Accelerate Energy Efficiency and Conservation Efforts

Santa Fe County is receiving a $264,000 Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant from the Federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The funds will be used to develop the County’s energy efficiency and conservation strategies such as:

  • Energy Audits and Building Retrofits
  • Transportation Energy Efficiency
  • Building Energy Codes
  • Distributed Generation and Technology
  • Recycling and material Energy Recovery
  • Renewable Energy for Public Facilities

Santa Fe County is seeking other funding opportunities to complement this funding source for the County’s energy initiatives. These efforts will be focused locally to maximize economic recovery impact as well as address sustainability issues.
