Fog Seal Maintenance on Avenida Vista Grande Beginning Monday, October 6 at 7 p.m.

Santa Fe, NM – October 3, 2014 – Santa Fe County will fog seal a 4.5 mile section of Avenida Vista Grande on Monday, October 6, 2014 from 7 p.m. – 2 a.m. on Tuesday, October 7 2014 (weather permitting). The section of Avenida Vista Grande being fog sealed is the portion west of the Agora Shopping Center to Ave. Casa del Oro. This regular maintenance is required to preserve the recently chip sealed road surface. This work will be conducted during evening and night time hours to reduce traffic impact and sealant tracking by, and onto motor vehicles.

Traffic control will be in place during the course of this work to include one lane closures, flagmen and a pilot car operation. Motorists on Avenida Vista Grande and others seeking access from side roads, in the immediate area of this work or should expect short delays. All vehicles involved in this operation will be equipped with safety warning lights for high visibility.
