Help Shape Santa Fe County’s Arts & Culture: Three Seats Open on ACCE Council

SANTA FE, NM – Santa Fe County is pleased to announce the appointment of eight members to the newly established Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy (ACCE) Council. These members will play an essential role in advancing the county's vibrant arts and culture scene, contributing to the economic development of creative industries, and supporting initiatives that connect the arts with community well-being.

The newly appointed ACCE Council members represent a diverse group of local leaders, artists, and experts who bring a wealth of experience and passion for the arts and cultural economy. Their responsibilities include advising on strategic initiatives, overseeing funding opportunities, and helping shape the future of arts, culture, and creative economy in Santa Fe County.

However, three seats on the council remain vacant—one each for representatives from Santa Fe County’s Districts 1, 2, and 3. Community members from these districts are encouraged to apply and contribute to this exciting and impactful initiative. The deadline for applications is February 11th at 5:00pm to be considered for appointment at the upcoming Board of County Commission meeting on February 25th.

"We are thrilled to welcome the eight new council members and look forward to their leadership in helping to foster an inclusive, creative, and thriving arts community here in Santa Fe County," said Leila Shadabi, interim facilitator for the ACCE Council. "The remaining seats are an excellent opportunity for more individuals to step up and contribute to shaping the future of arts and culture in our community."

Applications for the vacant seats can be submitted by contacting Leila Shadabi, Economic Development Specialist at (505) 986-6250 or lshadabi@santafecountynm.gov.
