Important Dates for Santa Fe County Voters
Election Day is Tuesday, November 2, 2010. The polls at every precinct will be open on Election Day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.


Voter Registration:Anyone who would like to vote in Santa Fe County must be registered in Santa Fe County to vote. The last day to register was Tuesday, October 5. If you are new to the county, have changed your residence or changed your name, you must have re-registered to vote.


Absentee Ballots: You can apply for an absentee ballot now through Friday, October 29, although we encourage voters not to wait until the last minute. By law, the last day we can send out Absentee Ballots is Friday, Oct. 29. To apply for an Absentee Ballot, you can go online (http://www.santafecountynm.gov/userfiles/av_app.pdf) to print an application, or call the County Clerk’s Office (505-986-6280) to request an application.


Early Voting at the Clerk’s Office: Residents can vote early at the Clerk’s Office, 102 Grant Ave. until October 29, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., including lunch hours. Early voting will also occur at the Clerk’s Office on Saturday, October 30, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.


Early Voting at Alternate Sites: Early voting at these sites begins Saturday, October 16 and ends Saturday, October 30. The County has early voting at the following sites: Edgewood Fire Station, Eldorado Senior Center, Santa Fe Fairgrounds, Pojoaque County Satellite Office, and Santa Cruz Abedon Lopez Senior Center. Days and hours for these sites are as follows: Tuesday through Friday, from noon until 8 p.m. and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. These sites are closed on Sundays and Mondays.
