Below is a summary of the actions taken by the Santa Fe Board of County Commissioners (BCC) at their regular meeting on June 12, 2018.  All five (5) Commissioners were present. 

The BCC meeting minutes from the May 8, 2018 Board of County Commissioners Meeting and the May 16, 2018 Board of County Commissioner Special Meeting were approved by a unanimous vote, 5-0.

Employee Recognition

·         Introduction and Recognition of the 2018 Fire Cadet Academy Graduates of the Santa Fe County Fire Department.

·         Resolution No. 2018-54, A Resolution Authorizing the Disposition of Fixed Assets Worth $5,000 or Less in Accordance With State Statute.

·         Appointment Of Richard L.C. Virtue As Hearing Officer Pursuant To Section 3.5.3 Of The Santa Fe County Sustainable Land Development Code For A Term Beginning On July 1, 2018 and Ending On June 30, 2019.  Approved by a vote of 4-0, with Commissioner Anaya not being present at the time of the vote.

·         Resolution No. 2018-58, A Resolution and Proclamation Declaring Extreme Or Severe Drought Conditions Within Santa Fe County and Banning the Sale and Use of Certain Fireworks in the Unincorporated Portions of the County, Including Wildlands, and Limiting the Use of Certain Fireworks to Specific Areas. Approved by a vote of 5-0.

·         Resolution No. 2018-59, A Resolution in Support of a Pilot Residential Composting Program.  Approved by a vote of 5-0.

·         Resolution No. 2018-60, A Resolution Requesting a Budget Increase to the Debt Service Fund (406) to Budget Debt Service Due on Advance Refunded Bond / $501,673.  Approved by a vote of 5-0.

·         Approval of Agreements No. 2018-0317-A & B-PW/KE with Holly Frontier Refining & Marketing, LLC and Ergon Asphalt & Emulsions, Inc., Respectively for an Indefinite Quantity and Multiple Year Term of Emulsion Oils for Multiple County Road Preservation Projects and Grant Signature Authority to the County Manager to Sign the Purchase Orders.  Approved by a vote of 5-0.

·         Approval of an Amendment to Memorandum of Agreement (2016-0359-PW/KE) Between Santa Fe County and the Cuatro Villas Mutual Domestic Water User Association.  Approved by a vote of 5-0.

·         Approval of a Memorandum of Agreement Between the County of Santa Fe and the Chupadero Water-Sewage Corporation.  Approved by a vote of 5-0.

·         Delegation of Authority to the County Manager to Sign the Santa Fe County 2018-2019 Worker’s Compensation Pool Deductible Option Authorization Form with the $25,000 Deductible/$750,000 Aggregate Option.  Approved by a vote of 5-0.

Land Use Cases (Possible Action Items)*

·         BCC CASE #PCEV 18-5110 Roxane Beck Vacation of Easement. Roxane Beck, Applicant, (Sommer Karnes & Associates LLP) Joseph Karnes, Agent, request approval to vacate a platted 25’ft. wide drainage easement on one lot totaling 3.04 acres.  The property is located at 7 Hacienda Court (lot 20), within Section 23, Township 17 North, Range 8 East, (Commission District 2).  Approved by a vote of 4-0 with conditions and Commissioner Anaya not being present at the time of the vote.

·         Possible Action On The Findings Of Fact And Conclusions Of Law For Case PCEV 18-5110 Roxane Beck Vacation of Easement. Approved by a vote of 4-0 with conditions and Commissioner Anaya not being present at the time of the vote.

Ordinances

·         Ordinance No. 2018 - 03, An Ordinance Amending Ordinance No. 1998-16 (“An Ordinance Establishing Provisions For Extension Of Sewer Service; Adopting Operating And Management [Procedures]; Setting Rates; And Establishing Design Standards For The Santa Fe County Wastewater Utility”) To Update Rates And Charges; And Repealing Section 4 of Ordinance No. 2014-11 (A Prior Amendment of Ordinance No. 1998-16).
