“Love Your River Day”, February 13
Santa Fe – February 11, 2010– The Santa Fe County Board of Commissioners issued a proclamation naming February 13, 2010 as “Love Your River Day” at the February 9 Board of County Commissioners(BCC) meeting. The resolution proclaiming “Love Your River Day” was passed to recognize the important role the Santa Fe River played in shaping the character of Santa Fe and the vital role the river has in the community.
Santa Fe County in conjunction with the Santa Fe Watershed Association and the City of Santa Fe are co-sponsoring “Love Your River Day.” The event will take place on Saturday, February 13 at DeVargas Park, located along the Santa Fe River between Guadalupe St. and Sandoval St. The event is from 10:00am until 1:00pm. Hot beverages and snacks will be served before and after the clean up.
