“Santa Fe County Day” at the Roundhouse - Feb. 16, 2016

Please join us for “Santa Fe County Day” on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at the New Mexico State Capitol in the West Halls of History from 8:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. to honor all Santa Fe County residents, past and present, for their contributions for creating an inclusive atmosphere honoring our diverse cultures and traditions. Santa Fe County will have 12 information tables set up in the West Halls of History throughout the morning to discuss programs, events and services provided by Santa Fe County government.

 

This is the second year the State of New Mexico Legislature has officially declared a “Santa Fe County Day”. The theme of the 2016 Santa Fe County Day is related to the County’s Budget Process and Performance Measures: Provide a Safe Community. Promote a Sustainable Community. Support a Healthy Community. Be a Proficient, Transparent, and Accessible Government.

Santa Fe County will also have vehicles from the Sheriff’s Office and Fire Department on display in front of the Roundhouse.

 

Santa Fe County was established in 1852 as one of the first counties in the United States New Mexico Territory. Santa Fe County has within its boundaries the local government jurisdictions of the City of Espanola, the City of Santa Fe, the Town of Edgewood and the tribal government jurisdictions of the Pueblo of Santa Clara, the Pueblo of Nambe, the Pueblo of Pojoaque, the Pueblo of Tesuque, the Pueblo of Cochiti, Kewa (formerly known as the Pueblo of Santo Domingo), and the Pueblo of San Ildefonso.
