“Toast To Hope, A Groundbreaking Celebration”

Santa Fe – January 6, 2011 – Santa Fe County would like to remind the community that the Esperanza Shelter for Battered Families is hosting the groundbreaking event at 3:30 p.m. for the new 7,600 square foot counseling center and administration building. The groundbreaking event will be at the building site, 3130 Rufina St., followed by a reception from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Pranzo Italian Grill (Sanbusco Market Center).

Santa Fe County has served as the project manager and the fiscal agent for the entire project. County Staff has worked with the Esperanza Board of Directors and staff to develop the project and create a design that will serve the needs of Esperanza. The City of Santa Fe leased the property for the new facility to Santa Fe County and the Funding for the project was allocated by the state legislature.
