March 26, 2013 BCC Summary
Santa Fe, NM – March 28, 2013 - Below is a summary of the actions taken by the Santa Fe Board of County Commissioners (BCC). All five Commissioners were present.
The Consent Calendar was unanimously approved with amendments.
The February 26, 2013 BCC meeting minutes, February 9, 2013 BCC Orientation Session Minutes and November 27, 2012 BCC Affordable Housing meeting minutes were unanimously approved.
Proclamations And Presentations
- A Proclamation recognizing March 26 - 28 as Battle of Glorieta Pass Days was unanimously approved.
- The Risk and Safety Division was introduced and the BCC recognized the Santa Fe County Safety Committee for completing the New Mexico Association of Counties Risk Awareness Program Year 4 and reducing Workers’ Compensation Claims.
- The BCC recognized Santa Fe Public Schools Board of Education outgoing members, Barbara Gudwin, District 3 and Frank Montaño, District 5.
- The BCC recognized Santa Fe Community College governing board outgoing members, Bruce Besser and Carole Brito.
Staff And Elected Officials’ Items
Growth Management
- The BCC unanimously approved to move forward with proposed Amendments To Ordinance 2011-6 And Resolution 2010-190 relating to the Down Payment Assistance Program.
Assessor’s Office
- Deputy County Assessor Gary Perez provided an update on the Assessor’s Data Collection Project.
- Deputy County Assessor Gary Perez discussed the new format on Assessor’s Notice of Value, which will be mailed out Monday, April 1, 2013.
Community Services
- The BCC unanimously voted to amend Professional Service Agreement #2011-0291-DWI-TRV with Capital City Cab for Chauffer and Designated Driver Service (CADDy) in the amount of $66,000.
Finance Department
- The BCC unanimously approved a Notice Of Sale Resolution for Series 2013 General Obligation Bonds.The BCC unanimously ratified a budget adjustment request, per Capital Outlay Policy, allocating $100,000 of District 2 Capital Funds to renovate the County Human Resources Building.
ASD/Procurement Department
- The BCC unanimously approved Four (4) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) Price Agreement(s) for IFB #2013-0186-PW/MS miscellaneous heating, ventilation, refrigeration and air condition services.
- The BCC unanimously approved Price Agreement #2013-0205-FD/MS Bunker Gear for Santa Fe County Fire Department to municipal emergency services, Inc. for an indefinite quantity.The BCC unanimously approved Change Order #2 to Agreement #2013-0145-OS/PL with Meridian Contracting, Inc. for construction services for the Santa Fe River Restoration from County Road 62 to San Ysidro Crossing in the amount of $146,170 for a total contract amount of $1,343,504.86 (exclusive of GRT).
- The BCC unanimously approved a waiver from section 1 of Ordinance No. 2012-5 to upgrade security fencing at the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility in the amount of $311,325.59 (exclusive of GRT), utilizing the state price agreement and authorizing the County Manager to sign the approved purchase order.
- The BCC unanimously approved a waiver from section 1 Of Ordinance No. 2012-5 to purchase an engine fire apparatus for the La Puebla Fire District/Santa Fe County Fire Department in the amount of $438,765, utilizing the Houston-Galveston area council cooperative purchasing agreement and authorizing the County Manager to sign the purchase order.
- The BCC unanimously approved Contract #2013-0219-PW/PL To Anissa Construction, Inc. for the building addition to the Vista Grande Public Library in the amount of $734,000 (exclusive of GRT).
Public Works Department
- Resolution No. 2013 -34, a Resolution requesting an increase to the Road Projects Fund (311) to budget a grant from the Department of Transportation to make improvements to County Roads in the La Tierra Subdivision and to Budget Funds contributed by the La Tierra Association for the project in the amount of $200,000 was unanimously approved.
- Grant Agreement 12-L-G-1476 from the Department of Finance and Administration to make improvements to the Oscar Huber Memorial Ball Park and Grandstands in Madrid in Santa Fe County in the amount of $332,000 was unanimously approved.
- A Joint Powers Agreement was unanimously approved between the Greater Glorieta Community Regional Mutual Domestic Water Consumers and Sewage Works Association and Santa Fe County.
