Santa Fe, NM – May 16, 2013 - Below is a summary of the actions taken by the Santa Fe Board of County Commissioners (BCC). Commissioner Liz Stefanics was excused.

The Consent Calendar was unanimously approved

The April 2, 2013 Budget Study Session meeting minutes and April 9, 2013 BCC meeting minutes were unanimously approved

Proclamations and Presentations

  • The Santa Fe County Ethics Board provided a quarterly report
  • Public Safety Director Pablo Sedillo provided a presentation and overview of National Correctional Officer's Week (May 5-11, 2013 and National Correctional Nurse's Week (May 6-12, 2013)
  • A Proclamation in honor of Santa Fe County Public Works Week (May 19-25, 2013) was unanimously approved
  • The Commission recognized Nico Cruz as the 2013 Boys and Girls Clubs Of Santa Fe Youth of the Year and Joseph Bellefontaine as Junior Youth of the Year
  • The BCC recognized Joanna Demaria, 2013 Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA) Women on the Move Honoree

Clerk’s Office

  • Patricia Hummer, Santa Fe County Election Records Manager was recognized on her retirement from the Santa Fe County Clerk’s Office for 2 Years and 8 Months of dedicated service to Santa Fe County

Treasurer’s Office

  • Resolution No. 2013-48, a Resolution imposing an annual Liquor Tax and associated waiver of requirements of Resolution No.2013-026 was unanimously approved

Matters From The Commission

  • A Resolution supporting clean and renewable energy projects to deploy and install energy efficient and renewable energy technology systems on Santa Fe County owned facilities, which will result in decreased utility costs for taxpayers, reduce negative environmental impacts from fossil fuel use and contribute to cleaner air quality and healthier communities was unanimously approved
  • A Resolution determining reasonable notice for public meetings of the Board of County Commissioners of Santa Fe County and for Boards and Committees appointed by or acting under the authority of the Board Of County Commissioners; rescinding Resolution No. 2013-03 was tabled
  • A Resolution supporting community solar and directing staff to work with The City Of Santa Fe, Public Service Company of New Mexico, and The New Mexico Public Regulation Commission to implement a community solar program in Santa Fe County was unanimously approved with amendments

Health And Human Services

  • A Resolution establishing community center trustees, and repealing and replacing policies for County owned or leased community centers was tabled

Matters From The County Attorney

  • The Settlement agreement and release of all claims in Centro Beneficiente Uniao Do Vegetal v. Board Of County Commissioners (No. 12-CV-00105) was unanimously approved (3-0, Commissioner Mayfield was not present during the vote)

  • BCC CASE # MIS 13-5120 Brewer 599 Liquor License - unanimously approved
  • CDRC CASE # V 12-5360 Henry Sanchez Variance - unanimously approved
  • BCC CASE # MIS 13-5020 Las Campanas Time Extension (formerly Estancias at Las Campanas - unanimously approved (3-0, Commissioner Mayfield was not present during the vote)
  • BCC CASE # MIS 13-5021 Las Campanas Time Extension (formerly Tesoro Enclaves) - unanimously approved (3-0, Commissioner Mayfield was not present during the vote)
  • BCC CASE # MIS 10-5121 Suerte del Sur Time Extension - unanimously approved
  • CDRC CASE # V 13-5040 Roddy & Sherry Leeder Variance - unanimously approved with conditions
  • CDRC CASE # V 13-5030 Wladimir & Diane Senutovich Variance - unanimously approved with conditions
  • CDRC CASE # V 13-5050 Patrick Christopher & Marga Friberg Variance - unanimously approved with conditions
  • CDRC CASE # Z/S 08-5440 Tierra Bello Subdivision - unanimously approved with conditions
