May 8, 2012 BCC Summary

Santa Fe, NM – May 10, 2012 – Below is a summary of the actions taken by the Santa Fe Board of County Commissioners (BCC). All five Commissioners were present.

The BCC approved the minutes from the April 10, 2012 meeting.

The Consent Calendar was approved.

An update on the Santa Fe County Fair was provided.

Public Works Department

  • An agreement between Santa Fe County and The State Of New Mexico for the lease, operation, and maintenance of the wastewater treatment facility located at the New Mexico State Penitentiary for a period of 24 years was approved (5-0).
  • A resolution authorizing the County Manager to sign an amended agreement between Santa Fe County and the State of New Mexico for the lease, operation, and maintenance of the wastewater treatment facility located at the New Mexico State Penitentiary was approved (5-0).
  • Authorization to publish title and general summary of an Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 2010-5, section 13, paragraph (A) (1) To extend the time during which permits will remain valid, and section 13, paragraph (A) (4) to suspend scheduled fee increases for residents outside of incorporated areas for 24 trip permits for Fiscal Year 2013 and thereafter was approved (5-0).

Matters from the Commission

  • Resolution No. 2012-60 endorsing efforts to maintain the Amtrak Southwest Chief Passenger Service through Lamy (Santa Fe), New Mexico was approved (5-0).
  • Resolution No. 2012-61 in support of issues and concerns of constituents in District 3 of Santa Fe County and throughout the entire Santa Fe County was approved (5-0).

  • BCC Case # MIS 12-5100 Global Wine Connection, Inc. - Approved (3-0)
  • BCC Case # MIS 10-5151 The Downs At Santa Fe Master Plan Extension - Approved (3-0)
  • CDRC Case # V 11-5400 Jenny Cocq Variance - Approved (3-0) with conditions
