Night Time Road Sweeping Maintenance Operations starting Postponed

Night Time Road Sweeping Maintenance Operations -  POSTPONED


Mobile Work Zone *** July 24, 2018 thru July 27, 2018**** Agua Fria Area (District 2)
 
The Santa Fe County Public Works would like to notify residents that night time road sweeping maintenance operations will be conducted on the following County maintained roadways:

• Agua Fria Street (CR 66) extending from the City limits west 2.2 miles to Willy Road.
• Lopez Lane (CR 61E) extending from Agua Fria Street (CR 66) south 0.57 mile to Rufina.
• Caja Del Oro Grant Road (CR 62) extending north 0.64 mile to Camino Cementerio.

Sweeping operations will commence on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 3 a.m. concluding by 7 a.m. each day, and continue thru Friday, July 27, 2018.

These night time sweeping operations are necessary to alleviate daytime traffic congestion and backups. If at all possible, please plan to avoid these areas.

Quick facts about all road sweeping operations in Santa Fe County:
•By law- all road sweeping operations shall be considered, active work zones. Motorists who violate traffic laws in active work zones are subject to enhanced penalties.
•Upon encountering a mobile road sweeping operation, motorists are encouraged to follow the rules of the road, be patient, keep back 500 feet and exercise additional safety precautions.
•Motorists who follow the rules of the road are less susceptible to accidents,
