Notice of Lodgers’ Tax Advisory Board Funding Availability
Santa Fe County Lodgers’ Tax Advisory Board published their Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA). This grant funding is provided by the Santa Fe County Lodgers’ Tax Advisory Board and the Santa Fe County Manager’s Office for advertising, publicizing or promoting tourist attractions / events in Santa Fe County.
Applicants shall clearly delineate how their activities are intended to increase tourism activities and visitors to Santa Fe County.
Eligible Applicants include: Government entities and non-profit organizations, including those that engage in income-generating activity that is directly related to their exempt purpose, may apply for Lodgers’ Tax Funding Assistance. The authorized program areas are limited to advertising, publicizing or promoting tourist attractions in Santa Fe County.
The Lodgers’ Tax Advisory Board anticipates awarding five applicants grant funding. The individual award amount will vary per applicant. In total there is $75,000 in program funding. The eligible term of funding is for attractions/ events held between May 1, 2016 and June 30, 2017. The Santa Fe County application deadline is Friday, April 1, 2016.
Grant funds are intended to add to, augment, or supplement, not replace, resources already committed to the program activities.
Upon completion of activities, successful applicants are required to prepare and present to the Lodgers’ Tax Advisory Board outcomes of funded activities to include the number of visitors or attendees for the particular activity.
