Notice of Public Meetings Concerning Adjustments to NM Department of Transportation Park and Ride Schedules

The New Mexico Department of Transportation's (NMDOT) Transit and Rail Division is
holding public meetings to discuss and answer questions generated by adjustments to
its Park and Ride Purple Route, Red Route, and Santa Fe Shuttle schedules. These
adjustments are being made in response to the Rio Metro Regional Transit District's
changes to the Rail Runner Express train schedules that will be effective Monday,
August 29, 2011.

Passengers who have been taking the Rail Runner Express #500 train will be able to
use NMDOT's Park and Ride's Purple Route bus to travel from Albuquerque to the New
Mexico 599 Transit Center and Los Alamos.

Pending interagency agreements, passengers who have been taking the #500 train to
the South Capitol Transit Center or the Santa Fe Depot will be able to transfer to a
shuttle bus at the NM 599 Transit Center. That shuttle will depart the NM 599 Station
at 5:11 a.m., depart the South Capitol Station at 5:28 a.m., and will arrive at the Santa
Fe Rail Yard by 5:33 a.m.

NMDOT Park and Ride system-wide monthly passes will continue to be honored.

Draft NMDOT Park and Ride schedules will be available on Tuesday, August 9, from
bus drivers or at www.nmparkandride.com. Draft schedules will also be available at the
Public Meetings. Final NMDOT Park and Ride schedules will be available Friday,
August 19.
