PNM Confirms Public Safety Power Shutoff in East Mountain Area and Warns of Unplanned Outages in Santa Fe Area; Residents Urged to Prepare

Santa Fe, NM-The Public Service Company of New Mexico (PNM) has confirmed a Public Safety Power Shutoff in the East Mountain Area and warns of possible unplanned, localized power outages in other areas.  For more information, see https://www.pnm.com/outage.

County residents are urged to prepare for the possibility of extended unplanned power outages, due to inclement weather and system control settings. These settings were changed to safeguard against wildfires.

"Preparedness is the most important thing that residents can do for any emergency," Santa Fe County Emergency Management Director Brad Call said.

Register for Smart 9-1-1
