Portrait of America 2010 Census Road Tour, March 23 

The American Road Tour is hosting a free, family-friendly event in Santa Fe at El Paisano's, 3140 Cerrillos Road, Santa Fe, NM to encourage participation in the 2010 Census. The event is March 23, from 11:00am- 3:00pm, with a Press Conference from 11:00am- 11:30am. Participants will learn about the 2010 Census and the impact their participation can have on the local community. Census data is used to reapportion congressional seats to states and directly affect how more than $400 billion per year in federal funding is distributed to local and tribal governments.

At the Road Tour event:
• Talk about the 2010 Census and the positive impact census participation can have on the local community
• Contribute your voices, pictures, videos and messages to the Road Tour and tell the nation what their community needs for the next 10 years
• View messages from other Road Tour participants
• See a sample 2010 Census form
