Public Safety Recruitment Day on Saturday, August 2

Santa Fe, NM – July 31, 2014 – Join us for the annual Santa Fe County Public Safety Recruitment Day on Saturday, August 2, 2014 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Sam’s Club parking lot (4201 Rodeo Rd). All public safety departments will be on hand to answer questions about their specific field. Santa Fe County will have Sheriff’s Officers, Fire Firefighters, Emergency Medical Technicians, Regional Emergency Communication Center Dispatchers, Corrections Officers and Medical staff on site. Interested individuals will also have an opportunity to participate in practice physical agility testing.

In addition to the recruitment, families are invited to enjoy popcorn, snow cones and check out the public safety units including fire trucks and Sheriff’s patrol units. The Santa Fe County Fire Department will also have the children’s firehouse simulator available so children can practice what to do in a real fire emergency. The Sheriff’s Office will be providing child identification finger printing as well.

Individuals will be able to apply for vacant positions at this event, so bring a copy of your high school diploma or equivalent.
