RECC Investigates Incoming Call Audio Disruption Impacting T-Mobile Customers
Santa Fe, NM – The Santa Fe Regional Emergency Communications Center (SFRECC) is currently addressing an issue with incoming call audio on our non-emergency phone lines that appears to be affecting T-Mobile customers. Our phone service provider, Lumen, has been diligently investigating this issue since May 21, 2024.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We are aware the problem with our phone systems causing audio disruption for incoming callers, specifically impacting T-Mobile customers. If you call and do not hear a response from a dispatcher upon pickup, please allow staff to release the line and call you back. Refraining from immediately redialing will help us manage the situation more efficiently. SFRECC staff have been instructed to promptly call the caller back when this situation arises. If you are calling to report a life-threatening emergency, please dial 9-1-1, as the audio disruption is not occurring on the emergency 9-1-1 line.
SFRECC is actively collaborating with Lumen to resolve this issue promptly. We appreciate the public's patience and understanding as we work towards a resolution.
