Reopening of Rio en Medio Community / Senior Center

Santa Fe, NM – March 23, 2012 - Santa Fe County Commissioner Daniel "Danny" Mayfield would like to invite all residents to the reopening of the Rio en Medio Community/Senior Center. The reopening will be held on Wednesday, March 28 at 11 a.m. at the community/senior center which is located at 1 EL Alto Road in Chupadero, NM.

"I am pleased that the county is reopening the renovated center. Our senior and community centers are essential facilities that provide important and beneficial services to so many of our county residents, especially our senior citizens," said Commissioner Mayfield

The renovation project took about six months to complete and includes a new expanded kitchen, new dining room floors, and an exterior commissary building.

Commissioner Mayfield continued, "The new commissary at the Rio en Medio center will provide the county with the ability to store bulk frozen, refrigerated and dry foods that will be used at other Senior centers countywide."
