Road Closure and Detour For Santa Fe County Road 101B (Dry Creek Road) in Jaconita
Santa Fe, NM – March 25, 2011 - Santa Fe County Public Works Department will begin constructing two Tire Bale Retaining Walls on Monday, March 28, 2011 at separate locations along County Road (CR) 101B, also known as Dry Creek Road (South of Santa Fe County Road 84 and North of State Road 502). Construction of this project is phased in two separate sections. The first phase located to the north, on CR 101B will require approximately four weeks to complete. The final section, to the south on CR 101B, will require six weeks for completion. In order to accommodate material placement, it will be necessary to close this road to traffic for the duration of both phases of work. Work will begin on March 28, 2011 with an estimated completion date of June 17, 2011. This project will help prevent erosion during large storm events and will enhance the safety of those traveling along CR 101B.
Residents along CR 101B will have access to their residential driveways at all times. Residents on the north side of the CR 101B project will need to utilize CR 84. To access CR 84 residents can use CR 101E or Camino Rincon, both county roads having access from State Rd 502.
Drivers should expect a full detour and allow additional time to negotiate this work zone. If you require additional information about this road work, contact Diego Gomez, Santa Fe County Road Maintenance Manager, (505)992-3010 or dgomez@santafecounty.org. Santa Fe County Public Works would like to thank residents for their patience and cooperation during this project.
