Santa Fe County and Chamber of Commerce Meeting Regarding $76 Million in County’s Construction Pipeline

Santa Fe, NM – March 18, 2013 - The Santa Fe County’s Public Works Director, Adam Leigland will attend the Santa Fe County Chamber of Commerce Meeting on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 3:30 p.m. at the Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce, 1644 St. Michaels Dr. Area contractors are encouraged to attend the meeting where Leigland will provide an overview of the County’s capital project planning process and construction schedule.

Last November, County voters approved funding $35 million in new projects using property tax-funded General Obligation Bonds. That approval coupled with utilizing gross receipts tax revenue translates to roughly $76 million in new construction projects over the next 5 years.

"These projects represent a significant stimulus to the local economy and a great opportunity for area contractors to bid on County construction projects," said Public Works Director, Adam Leigland.

Santa Fe County’s Public Works Department is responsible for a variety of construction projects: roads, buildings, parks, trails, and water and wastewater infrastructure.
