Santa Fe County Announces Behavioral Health Crisis Center Partner!
Today the Santa Fe County Community Services Department is proud to announce its new partner for the Santa Fe County Behavioral Health Crisis Center. New Mexico Solutions Inc. has been contracted to serve as the “Primary Partner” for the planning and operating of the Behavioral Health Crisis Center.
“We are extremely honored to partner with Santa Fe County on such an innovative and community centered strategy to improve access to behavioral health services,” said David Ley of New Mexico Solutions.
This week begins Phase One of the contract with New Mexico Solutions, which will consist of identifying the centers location and the planning and design of the facility. Phase Two of the service contract will commence upon completion of the planning phase and will include overall management and operation of the Crisis Center and the Mobile Health Crisis Team. New Mexico Solutions Inc., headed by Dr. David Ley has been providing various behavioral health services in New Mexico since the mid 90’s.
In May of 2016 the County held a Behavioral Health Summit in Santa Fe attended by over 300 individuals. Participants in the Summit overwhelmingly urged the County to develop a behavioral health crisis center. In November of 2016, County voters approved a bond that authorized $2 million in capital funds for a crisis center. In June of 2017 the Santa Fe County Board of County Commissioner’s voted to approve a one-eight increase in the County’s gross receipts tax in order to support the operations of a Crisis Center.
