Notice of Values Mailed on April 1. The Santa Fe County Assessor’s Office would like to notify residents they should be receiving their Notice of Values in the mail within the next few days. Notice of Values were mailed on April 1, 2015. In addition to their normal office hours, the County Assessor and staff will be hosting Community Outreach hours at various Senior and Community Centers around Santa Fe County (see full schedule below) during the month of April to assist residents with information on their Notice of Value.

During the Community Outreach hours the Assessor and staff will be available to help residents understand their Notice of Value, answer questions, and address any comments or concerns related to their property assessment. Staff will have the necessary paperwork at the Community Outreach events to appeal values, apply for valuation freezes and various exemptions (example: Head of Household, Veteran, Agricultural, etc.) on site. Appeals and exemption applications can be filed with the County Assessor’s Office until May 1, 2015.

“We understand it may be difficult for residents to find time to come into our office to ask questions or seek clarification on various exemptions and freezes. By going into the community we create more opportunities and time for residents to meet in person with us, as well as creating relationships within our community,” said newly elected County Assessor, Gus Martinez.

You may also visit the Office of the Santa Fe County Assessor, 102 Grant Ave. through May 1, 2015 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday – Friday to file appeals, ask questions or file for exemptions.
