SANTA FE COUNTY CLERK’S OFFICE - End of Early and Absentee Voting Approaching

Santa Fe – May 24, 2012 - Valerie Espinoza, Santa Fe County Clerk, wants to remind people that the end of Early Voting and Absentee Voting for the 2012 Primary Election is fast approaching.

Absentee Ballots: You can apply for an absentee ballot now or any time up until Friday, June 1, although we encourage voters not to wait until the last minute. By law, the last day we can send out Absentee Ballots is Friday, June 1. To apply for an Absentee Ballot, you can go online (http://www.santafecountynm.gov/userfiles/2010ABAPP.pdf) to print an application, or call the County Clerk’s Office (505-986-6280) to request an application. All Absentee Ballots must be returned by 7:00 PM on Election Night, June 5, 2012. You can hand-deliver Absentee Ballots to the Clerk’s Office or to any polling place on Election Day.

Early Voting: Early Voting at the Clerk’s Office and alternate sites ends Saturday, June 2.

Clerk’s Office: Tuesday (5/29) – Friday (6/1): 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Saturday (6/2): 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Alternate Sites: Tuesday (5/29) – Friday (6/1): noon – 8:00 PM
Saturday (6/2): 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
