Santa Fe County Community Services Department Suspects Scam

The Santa Fe County Community Services Department Senior Services Division would like to notify residents of a rumored scam they have recently received calls on.

Seniors are reporting receiving phone calls from individuals who claim they were contacted to do chore services for the senior. They are providing the senior with a date and time they will be there to perform the services. In one instance, after services were performed, the senior was presented with a bill for the services.

If you receive this type of solicitation for services you are asked to call the Santa Fe County non-emergency dispatch number – 428-3720 – to report the incident. Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Department has been notified of this suspected scam.

These “Chore” services are not being coordinated through Santa Fe County.
