Santa Fe County Cooperative Extension Service Can Answers Many of your Questions!

Have you ever needed an answer regarding an unidentifiable weed or bug in your yard or garden? How about questions regarding how to preserve all of the apples or green beans you recently purchased at the farmers’ market? Would you like additional information on parenting? Perhaps you are looking for a family friendly organization for your children to gain life skills, make new friends and have fun? Santa Fe County Cooperative Extension Service (CES) offers the answers to these questions!

The Santa Fe County CES continues to provide practical research-based knowledge to county residents through educational efforts in the areas of Agriculture, Family and Consumer Science, 4-H Youth Development and Community Development. The Cooperative Extension Service is the outreach component of New Mexico State University.

The Santa Fe County CES office is located on the County fair grounds at 3229 Rodeo Road. General office hours are 8 a.m.-noon and 1 p.m.-5 p.m. County agents and staff are ready to assist you in finding answers to your questions and providing many fun, hands-on educational programs in the areas of Agriculture, Family and Consumer Science, 4-H Youth Development and Community Development.

We currently have county agents in the areas of Family and Consumer Science, Cydney Martin and 4-H Youth Development, Christina Turner and Jacqueline Baca. We have a part-time interim Agriculture Agent, Curtis Smith, whose office hours are Mondays from 9 a.m.-3p.m.
