Santa Fe County Fair

Santa Fe – August 3, 2010 – Santa Fe County will be hosting its annual fair, August 4 through August 10, 2010 at the Santa Fe County Fairgrounds, 3229 Rodeo Road.

The Santa Fe County Fair will host a variety of events including food, 4-H livestock and horse shows, pet shows, arts and craft shows, gardening exhibits, salsa contests, and many other events. There will be plenty to do and see for the entire family and it is free! Bring the family and spend a day at the Santa Fe County Fair.

Schedule of Events

Wednesday, August 4

8 a. m. – 2 p.m. Check in all 4-H/Future Farmers of America (FFA) animals

9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Judging of adult indoor exhibits

4:30 p.m.– 7:30 p.m. Judging of youth indoor exhibits

7 p.m. Open ceremony for 4-H/FFA, exhibitors, and parents

Thursday, August 5

12 p.m. – 2 p.m. Check in Agricultural products and Floriculture exhibits

12 p.m. – 8 p.m. Indoor Exhibits

1 p.m. Rabbit Show

1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Cattle Show, followed by Dairy Cattle Show

2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Judging of Agricultural and Floriculture

5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Swine Show

Friday, August 6

8 a.m. – 12 p.m. Poultry Show

9 a.m. – 11 a.m. Sheep Show

10 a.m. – 8 p.m. Indoor exhibits open to the public

11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Meat Goat Show, followed by Dairy Goat Demonstration

6 p.m. Llama Demonstration

Saturday, August 7

8:30 a.m. 4-H Dog Show Registration

9 a.m. – 7 p.m. Indoor Exhibits

9 a.m. 4-H Dog Show

10 a.m. Round Robin Showmanship, Herding dog demonstration

1 p.m. – 3 p.m. Archery Contest

2 p.m. Registration for Salsa Contest

2:30 p.m. Salsa Contest

4 p.m. Livestock Auction

Sunday, August 8

9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Indoor Exhibits

10 a.m. Chile Challenge Registration

10:30 a.m. Small Pet Show Registration

11 a.m. Chile Challenge

11 a.m. Small Pet Show

12 p.m. – 2 p.m. Barnyard Olympics
