Santa Fe County Food Drive to Benefit The Food Depot
Santa Fe, NM – November 15, 2013- Santa Fe County is holding a Food Drive the week of November 18 to benefit The Food Depot. Non perishable food items and monetary donations will be collected at eight locations around Santa Fe County.
Food Collection Barrel Locations:
- County Administration Building, 102 Grant Ave.
- Community Services Department, 2052 S. Galisteo Street
- Public Works Facility, 424 NM 599
- Public Safety Facility, 35 Camino Justicia
- Ken and Patty Adam (Eldorado) Senior Center, 16 Avenida Torreon
- Steve Herrera First Judicial Courthouse, 225 Montezuma Ave.
- Pojoaque Fire Station, 17919 US 84-285
- Edgewood Fire Station, One Municipal Way, Edgewood
An example of items that can be donated include:
- Canned soups, vegetables and fruits
- Rice, dried pasta, boxed macaroni and cheese
- Canned fish and meats
- Cereal and oatmeal
- Nuts, seeds and peanut butter
- Baby food
- Dried fruit
Monetary donations are also accepted at each location. For every dollar donated, the Food Depot can provide four meals.
